What’s it like to be a dog toy?

Thursday, April 26th, 2012

We love this beautiful video that shows a dog having fun with his toy at the beach. Rabbit would certainly like to see a bit of sun at the moment but at least his collection of dog macs are keeping him dry during these April showers.

The video was created by Beep Show in San Fransisco. The music is by Monsters and Men with the track appropriately titled ‘Dirty Paws’.

Guardian Weekend

Monday, February 27th, 2012

Merlin the Chihuahua starred on the Guardian Weekend’s glossy front cover modeling a LoveMyDog Rivington Collar.

The shot was used to highlight John Lanchester’s article about why the super-rich love the UK. Apparently in 1990, to come in the top 200 of the Sunday Times’s annual rich list, you needed £50m. Now you need £430m!

If you ask us, it certainly makes the Rivington collection look like excellent value for money. Now where did Rabbit put the keys to that Ferrari?

Country Homes & Interiors

Monday, February 20th, 2012

February’s Country Homes & Interiors magazine features an article all about loving cats, dogs, horses and hens. Now whilst we are big fans of all animals and do have some lovely gifts for cats, our range of dog couture will certainly not be suitable for hens. Or horses for that matter. But if you want to keep your pooch warm and stylish then why not have a look at the yellow Wilmot cable-knit dog sweater as seen in the lifestyle magazine.

Paul Smith with Lenny & Lola

Friday, February 17th, 2012

Here’s legendary fashion designer and cycling lover Paul Smith, who recently visited the trendy Bike Shop cafe in East London. Paul is holding Stylist Magazine‘s fashion loving pug Lenny, who is wearing one of our Tweed coats.

This second photo shows Paul Smith with Lola who is wearing a LoveMyDog Elwin quilted dog coat.

Sherlock: How did he survive?

Sunday, January 29th, 2012

Although the excellent second series of BBC’s Sherlock finished a couple of weeks ago, people are still debating on just how Sherlock managed to survive that long fall in the season finale. Rabbit thinks it was actually Moriarty who fell to his death but felt that the mystery cyclist appearing from nowhere was very distracting. As all dogs know, cyclists can be fun to chase and this certainly got Rabbit’s attention.

If your dog’s a Sherlock fan then now might be just the time to purchase a doggy deerstalker. Both the LoveMyDog Thornproof Tweed dog hat and the Hartwist Tweed dog hat are in our current sale. Snap one up whilst stocks last and have the smartest looking hound this side of Baker Street.

The Observer Magazine Christmas gift guide

Monday, November 28th, 2011

We love reading the Sunday papers, especially after a good long walk. We especially enjoyed The Observer and the Ryan Gosling page this weekend as our Wilmot Cable Sweater was featured in their Christmas Gift Guide.

Deluxe doggy raincoats: Elwin

Sunday, November 20th, 2011

Lilly loves East London, and the inspiration for the name of these particular deluxe doggy raincoats came from a local road called Elwin Street. Rabbit (sporting the olive coat) certainly enjoys his walks there with his friends.

This classic waxed cotton coat caused quite a stir in the canine community when it was featured in the “Truly British Pet-a-Porter Dog Fashion Show” at Harrods London, alongside creations by Vivienne Westwood and Ben de Lisi. Waterproof, windproof and snug, it’s truly a dog coat for all seasons.

The Elwin doggy raincoats are available in navy or olive, and in a range of sizes. For more details click here.

Dogs of London by Anna Walsh

Wednesday, November 16th, 2011

The images above were created by the talented Anna Walsh. She has exhibited around London and we think her ‘Dogs of London’ Map, and hand coloured individual dog prints are fab. You can see more of Anna’s work at her website here and a larger version of her Dog Map (sadly no Rabbit for Hackney) here.

Shoreditch Unbound: Paw Pagent

Wednesday, September 28th, 2011

Paw Pageant
Earlier this month LoveMyDog sponsored a pooch pageant in East London. Part of the Shoreditch Unbound festival, the event took place at Old Spitalfields Market.

It was a great day out with lots of dogs taking part and strutting their stuff down the catwalk. LoveMyDog’s Creative Director Lilly Shahravesh was on the judging panel which had lots of fun categories such as Best Bitch in the Ditch, The Pawditch look, Dead ringer, Dressed up to the canines, Best trick AKA shoredtich showoff and Pawfection.

Lilly is pictured with Roxy (an Italian Greyhound) who was chosen as the overall winner for the ‘Best in Ditch’. Congratulations to everyone that took part.
