Dog-friendly hotel: Ox Pasture Hall

Ox Pasture Hall

The staff at Scarborough’s Ox Pasture Hall like to take care of all their guests in style. And that includes four-legged friends too. In fact at this wonderful dog friendly hotel you can even dine with your dog in the Bistro/bar area if you choose to do so.

LoveMyDog’s Creative Director Lilly Shahravesh recently spent a night at Ox Pasture Hall. Here’s what Lilly had to say about her stay: “The staff were really attentive to Rabbit on our arrival and made sure we were all really comfortable and had everything we needed. Our suite was really spacious and the view of the courtyard, gardens and countryside were incredibly beautiful.

Rabbit and I had dinner in the evening, the food was superb, excellent chef and the service excellent. All the staff were incredibly warm and friendly. The weekend ended with a magnificent English Breakfast on the Sunday morning which was absolutely delicious. Rabbit had a great time in the countryside and also on Scarborough Beach which was just a few minutes drive away.

Rabbit at Ox Pasture Hall

After an exhausting week launching our new A/W 14 collection, it was the perfect weekend getaway from the city or any other special occasion for that matter. Here at Lovemydog we all love pet friendly hotels and I wouldn’t consider going away anywhere with out my little Rabbit.”

Ox Pasture Hall is located in the North York Moors National Park in North Yorkshire. For more details visit the Ox Pasture Hall Hotel website.

RIP Bellamy

Friday, September 12th, 2014

Bellamy was a blood donor who had collected thousands of pounds for charity. He supported many charities including Battersea, Animal Health Trust, Pupaid and Variety children's charity. Bellamy had starred in commercials, documentaries, a theatrical production and our Paw Pageants.

It is with very sad news that we announce that Blue Great Dane Bellamy is no longer with us.

It’s my birthday today, I’m four!

Friday, January 14th, 2011

As the official Love My Dog muse she’s always trying new designs and samples on me. Here I am when I was a puppy on Lilly’s bespoke tweed blanket. Lilly loves using pure wool in her designs and it’s deliciously warm and soft. With the coat to match I’ve never shivered once, even when we were out in all that snow. Cant believe I’m four today, hope I get a big juicy bone for my birthday!

Hair of the dog

Monday, November 1st, 2010

Based off Brick Lane opposite Spitalfields in London, The Golden Heart is a dog friendly pub that we and our muse Rabbit love. It’s famous for the eccentric landlady and is a favourite hang out for local artists & celebs, so dont be surprised to find Tracy Emin or Kate Moss standing next to you having a pint!

This is a photo of the resident dog who is always dozing away. For some reason there is a corgi cut out behind his bed and he sits outside the Ladies loo. Does anyone know his name? Let us know your ideas by leaving a comment.

If you want to find a dog friendly pub near you, or want to let others know about your favourite local then www.doggiepubs.org.uk is well worth a visit.

Unlikely London inspiration?

Tuesday, September 14th, 2010

Popped out of the studio for 5 minutes earlier and took a double take at the ground. I thought the colours of London’s Hackney Road drying could work perfectly for Autumn/Winter.

What do you think?

The stunning Serpentine

Saturday, July 10th, 2010

This year—the Serpentine’s 40th Anniversary—the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion is designed by world-renowned French architect Jean Nouvel. This 2010 Pavilion is the 10th commission in the Gallery’s annual series, the world’s first and most ambitious architectural programme of its kind. It will be the architect’s first completed building in the UK.

Whilst out walking at this dig friendly Serpentine Pavillion, Rabbit met Maureen Lipman’s no bark Congo dog.
