2014 Paw Pageant review

2014 Paw Pageant

Looking terrific in tweed

Tipped as one of the top three events by Metro & Time Out to visit over the recent bank holiday weekend, this year’s Paw Pageant event certainly didn’t disappoint.

The Paw Pageant is LoveMyDog’s annual fund raiser for The Battersea Dogs & Cats Home and despite it raining cats and dogs all day, proved to be a real hit.

LoveMyDogs’ Creative Director and Paw Pageant planner Lilly Shahravesh says, “It was a fantastic day for all dog lovers. Not only did we have lots of fun, we were also raising money for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home and awareness of micro chipping & dog tags”.

Lilly conintues, “Many thanks to all involved, including all our supporters leading up to the show. It takes a long time to organise the Paw Pageant event and it’s all done by volunteers. I can’t thank them enough.

I was amazed at the large crowds that turned up at Old Spitafileds Market to support this very special fund raiser.”

The team at LoveMyDog (which obviously includes studio muse Rabbit) would like to say a big thanks to Jo Good & Anna Webb (BBC London Radio), Gabby Roslin (BBC London Radio), Jonathan Ross, Tuuli Shipster, Lee Lapthorne and Miriam Goodall from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home for all their help. Thanks also to our roving Re-Paw-Ters on the day: Barkarama, PhileasDogg and Kelly Convey.

As Gus’ owner (pronounced Goose, no worries about the misspelling) my favorite moment was, of course, when he was selected best in show, I couldn’t believe it! It was a great show from the beginning, lots of dog lovers saying hi to Gus (he was so happy!), the catwalk was great and the other contestants were amazing too. Gus had a great time, me too, and we helped other dogs without homes, what else can we ask for? We will be there next year, with no doubt. Thanks for an amazing event!

  • Gus was the star of the show!

Thanks for commenting Maria, we have fixed that typo too ; )
