British designer dog couture

“My inspiration comes from all around – from the things I see in London streets everyday, from the dogs I meet and the places I visit. I love colour, textures, traditional fabrics (which I hoard endlessly), fashion, art, photography and the beautiful British countryside.

I choose natural fabrics for my designs whenever I can, and I love the qualities of pure wool and the feel of natural cotton fabrics. I’m lucky enough to love what I do, and there isn’t anything in the Love My Dog collection that I wouldn’t use myself” – Lilly Shahravesh

Lilly’s inspiration has always come from traditional fabrics such as tweeds which she has worked with for over 20 years. The Love My Dog tweed cloth is woven in Scotland and was originally worn by landowners and shepherds, the yarn being spun from the wool of the Cheviot sheep. Collars and leads are hand crafted by traditional British belt-makers.

Lilly’s love of tweed and natural fabrics has also brought a collaboration with Harris tweed where she has worked to create the Love My Dog’s exclusive Harris Tweed cloth.

At Love My Dog we use a range of techniques from cut-and-sew, appliqué and embroidery to crochet, knit and surface decoration, so there is something to suit every dog. Whether he’s a country canine or an urban pooch, your dog will be the chicest hound in town.
